Do
something great for Earth Day – Recycle your unwanted treasures
and help us preserve more land!
The Land Conservancy of New Jersey is urging Kinnelon residents
to turn your spring cleaning into a family recycling day to
benefit land preservation in New Jersey. The Conservancy will be
collecting your unwanted “treasures” at the Kinnelon Conserves
5th Annual Earth Day Fair & Eco-Expo on Saturday April 9. The
Conservancy will accept high quality re-salable items in good
condition that weigh less than 10 pounds and are no larger than
two square feet (No furniture or clothing, please).
All items collected at the Earth Day Fair & Expo will be sold by
The Conservancy on eBay through eBay Giving Works the site’s
charitable giving arm. All proceeds from these sales will
support The Conservancy’s land preservation work. “This event
gives Kinnelon residents an opportunity to do some spring
cleaning, recycling and help the environment all at the same
time,” said David Epstein, President of The Land Conservancy of
New Jersey.
Kinnelon Conserves 5th Annual Earth Day Fair & Eco-Expo will
take place on April 9, 2011 from 12 noon to 4 pm at the Pearl R.
Miller School, 117 Kiel Avenue in Kinnelon. The Land Conservancy
of New Jersey will have a table at the event and our van will be
parked right alongside the school for everyone’s convenience. Be
sure that your items are in good working condition, no larger
than 2 feet by 2 feet and weigh no more than 10 pounds.
“The Conservancy has helped the Borough of Kinnelon preserve
more than 1300 acres over the last 10 years and our table
display will feature a map of preserved land in the area. Our
representatives will be there to help collect your items and to
speak with you about the work being done to help preserve New
Jersey’s beautiful natural landscape!” said Epstein.
