Biographies

Sherri Albrecht joined The Conservancy’s Board of Trustees in 2006 and is a resident of Rockaway Township. Sherri is a Senior Environmental Scientist for URS Corp and specializes in wetlands and permitting. She has an MA in Environmental Science and a BS in Biology. Sherri has been a volunteer and later treasurer with Tri-Boro Animal Welfare in Butler. She was also a volunteer and later board member with Brookview Wildlife Center, formerly of Boonton. She currently volunteers with the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife through the Wildlife Conservation Corps (WCC). Her main involvement as a WCC volunteer is with the Endangered and Non-game species program conducting amphibian crossing and vernal pool surveys. Sherri enjoys outdoor recreation activities, particularly kayaking, mountain biking, hiking and cross-country skiing. She also enjoys gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Jason Andris is the Managing Director of Venture Investment Associates, a manager of private equity funds of funds based in Peapack, NJ. Jason received an AB in history with a minor in economics from Hamilton College, and his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He is also a graduate of the Peck School and St. Paul’s School. Previously, Jason worked at Robertson Stephens and Co. and Global Vacation Group, Inc. . He is a member of the board of trustees and treasurer of both The Land Conservancy of New Jersey and The Lamington Conservancy, the founder and chair of the Friends of Hamilton Crew, a Form Agent for St. Paul’s School, and has served on various committees in Bedminster Township, including the Planning Board.

Rory Corrigan is a long-time Morristown resident where he resides with his wife Deborah and three children. Rory is a graduate of the Lawrenceville School and Drew University where he received a B.A. in English in 1972. Rory worked at Jefferies & Company as Executive Vice President and Director of Institutional Equity Trading and Sales until his retirement in 2002. Rory currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Drew University, and has served on the Board of Trustees for The Land Conservancy of New Jersey since 2002

John P. de Neufville, Ph.D. is the President and founder of Voltaix, Inc., a manufacturer and international supplier of electronic gases based in North Branch, NJ. He started Voltaix, Inc. in 1986 to capture the market for an obscure gas, germane, GeH4, which is used in multi-junction solar cells based on "amorphous silicon" to improve efficiency by better converting the red and near infra-red portions of the solar spectrum into electricity. He has a Ph.D. in Applied Physics (specialty in Materials Science, Harvard, 1969), an M.S. (Harvard, 1965) and a B.S. (Yale, 1961) in geology, and is a self-taught chemist, who has worked on advanced batteries, phase change rewritable CD technology, catalysis, uranium exploration technology and semiconductor physics at Energy Conversion Devices in Troy, MI and Exxon's Corporate Lab when it was in Linden, NJ. He was a Board Member of Planned Parenthood of Greater Northern New Jersey from 1994-1999, serving as Vice Chairperson in 1995 and Chairperson in 1998. He has been a trustee on the board at The Land Conservancy of New Jersey since 1995.

John Donofrio is co-founder and CEO of Briarpatch Games, Millburn NJ, recognized as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in America by Inc Magazine in 1998. Today Briarpatch has earned more than 150 industry awards for excellence and has build an impressive distribution in independent specialty stores and mass market chains nationwide and internationally. John has served on the Board of Directors of the National School Supply and Equipment Association, was a member of the strategic planning committee of the Licensing Industry Merchanisers Association, and Past President of the Rutherford Kiwanis Club.  John enjoys tennis, hiking, cooking, and volunteering for worthy causes such as The Land Conservancy of New Jersey, where he served as a trustee since 2003.

Sally Epstein is a founding of Trustee of The Land Conservancy of New Jersey. She has served as President and Chair of the Executive Committee. Sally previously served as Director of Development for St. Clare’s Hospital, the N.J. Conservation Foundation, Drew University and Newark Academy. She currently serves on the Board of the Community Theatre in Morristown and previously served on the Board of the Morristown Library. Sally enjoys bicycling, traveling and spending time with her three grandchildren.

John (Jack) F. Fritts is a partner in Cadwalader’s New York office. His principal practice areas are general corporate, securities and commercial matters. He handles corporate law issues for numerous companies, including establishment, management, financing, growth and restructuring. He is involved in the structuring, negotiation and documentation of complex transactions, including public and private financings, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships and start-ups, both nationally and globally. He is currently active on behalf of businesses ranging from biotechnology to the operation of public schools for profit to ocean-going transportation, and in the development of the firm’s Latin America practice. In the past several years he has handled the creation of a significant new media company, bought, sold and financed a number of companies and large quantities of gold, silver and other commodities, and represented the issuer in several IPOs. He represented Paraguay in the privatization of Yacyreta and the Argentine government in the privatization of Argentina’s airports and a major bank. He has recently represented Greek shipping interests in rescuing a Swedish public company from a hostile takeover attempt, he represents several public companies on a continuing basis, and he has recently been involved in going private transactions and MBO’s. Mr. Fritts earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his law degree from Harvard Law School. He has been a Trustee of The Land Conservancy of New Jersey since 2001.

Clementina B. Gardner  joined The Conservancy’s Board of Trustees in 2005. A mother of four and grandmother of ten, Clementina was an elementary school teacher for ten years and upon retirement went to Westminster Choir College and earned a Masters in Music. She has played the piano most of her life and now teaches and plays chamber music. Clementina has been involved in the Madison/Morristown community for the past 40 years. She has been active in the fields of housing, the arts, social services and theatre.

Patricia Kennelly has been a Trustee of The Land Conservancy of New Jersey since 1997. She resides in Harding Township with her husband. She began her corporate career at Ziff Davis Publishing in Operations and then moved to AT&T to work in Consumer Marketing. After 10 years at AT&T, Pat left to form her own consulting company to advise on Cause Related Marketing for clients as diverse as the Morristown Memorial Health Foundation and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. While still occasionally doing marketing consulting, Pat has found her new passion is teaching Yoga.

Kerry Kittles is a retired professional basketball player with the New Jersey Nets. He is currently pursing an MBA in Finance at Villanova University. Kerry lives in Harding Township with his wife, Adria and their three daughters. Kerry has been a member of the board of Trustees for The Land Conservancy of New Jersey since November 2008.

 

Dennis J. Krumholz joined the Board of The Land Conservancy in 2010. He is a partner in the Morristown office of Riker Danzig law firm, where he directs the firm’s environmental practice. Dennis’s practice emphasizes the remediation of contaminated sites and includes litigation, transactional and regulatory work. He is a former deputy attorney general for the State of New Jersey and past chair of the environmental law section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Dennis is named on the first tier of New Jersey environmental lawyers in Chambers USA’s annual attorney review, along with similar designations by Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers. He is former chair of INFORM, a non-profit environmental research organization based in New York City, and served as trustee and general counsel to the Community Theatre of Morristown. Dennis is a graduate of Oberlin College and Boston College Law School.

John Lundberg has been a Trustee of The Land Conservancy of New Jersey since 1992. He practiced law in NYC for seven years. John served as CEO of American Savings Bank in NYC and of Crum & Forster, a national property and casualty insurance company.

Peter Meyer founded PPE in 1977 and has been responsible for a broad range of educational, institutional, commercial, recreational, municipal and residential development throughout New Jersey. Mr. Meyer is former Chairman of the Long Range Planning Committee for the Consulting Engineers Council of New Jersey. He is former Secretary of the Montclair Environmental Advisory Committee and Professional Planner to the Green Township Planning Board. He has also served as a member of the Morris 2000 Land Use Planning/Open Space Committee and the Morristown Long term Facilities Planning Committee. He has lectured at New Jersey Institute of Technology and Columbia University. Mr. Meyer has been a Conservancy Trustee since 1997.

Tracy Meerwarth Pester joined the Board of Trustees in 2009. She graduated from Bucknell University and received her Masters in Cultural Anthropology in 2001. Tracy has published and co-edited several articles and books on organizational studies while working as a cultural anthropologist for General Motor’s Research and Development in Warren, Michigan. She is active member of the Junior League of Morristown and is the owner and a Corporate Director of Consolidated Bearings Co., Cedar Knolls, New Jersey. Tracy has been a long time resident of Harding and resides in town with her husband, Scott.

Bob Ward is an entrepreneur who has founded and managed twenty companies including marketing, consulting, armored trucking, construction, publishing, printing and real estate management. Prior to devoting full time to ANSERVE AMERICA, he was President and CEO of Carelli, Glynn & Ward Advertising, which was ranked as one of the ten largest advertising agencies in New Jersey for over a decade. Bob served as an enlisted man in the U.S. Marine Corps and as a Captain in the U.S. Army. Bob has been a member of the Kinnelon Town Council, the president of the local PTA, senior warden of his church and is now on the boards of a number or non-profit organizations. He has served as Trustee for The Land Conservancy of New Jersey since 2001. He is married to Nancy and has three grown children and has lived in Kinnelon since 1966.

John Yingling retired from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation in Morristown in 2006. He was Dodge's Chief Financial Officer, responsible for administrative and financial matters in support of the Foundation's program activities. Prior to his 18 years at Dodge, John worked for 33 years for AT&T and its subsidiaries in the Bell System. He started in operations in Maryland in 1955. Later assignments included organization planning, business information systems planning, and corporate planning. After helping plan the 1984 divestiture, he retired as Director-External Relations in New Jersey in 1988. John holds a B.A. in American Studies from Yale (1955), a Master of Liberal Arts from Johns Hopkins (1967), and an M.B.A. from NYU (1977). He married Nancy Shrop in 1957. They have seven children and 14 grandchildren. John and Nancy have traveled widely, including China, India, and Antarctica. John has been a Trustee of The Land Conservancy of New Jersey since 2007.
