Make Informed Choices - Plan to Preserve
In the past six years, the Conservancy has helped preserve
nearly 6,000 acres in northern New Jersey.
The Conservancy serves as the Open Space Advisor for 25
municipalities in Northern New Jersey. We also work very
closely with the State Green Acres Program. As a result,
we have established relationships with many government
officials whose business it is to buy land for
preservation.
The Land Conservancy's Land Acquisition staff will
assist you in evaluating and understanding the
preservation options available to you. A conservation plan
or strategy can be tailored to fit your land and your
financial needs.
If you are thinking about preserving your property, there
are several conservation methods to consider. Preserving
your land may also provide property tax relief as well as
additional state and federal tax benefits.
The benefits of a few of the
more common land preservation methods are listed in the
