Volunteers Needed
The Land Conservancy of New Jersey has many volunteer opportunities
including outdoor and office work. If you would like to

Listed below are the current
project areas that can use volunteer assistance:
Tabling & Special Events: TLC-NJ supports events
in and around our community in which our staff needs
support with setting up/clean-up, directing attendees,
talking to individuals about our work, etc. These events
vary from annual fundraising events (i.e. Golf Outing),
tabling events, etc.
Garden: Our garden has been certified as a Native
Wildflower Garden. We are looking for volunteers to help
with the up keep which includes but isn’t limited to:
weeding, planting, watering, etc.
Office Clerical & Mailings: New member/renewal
mailings, data entry, and managing the library. This may
include support for various staff projects on an as
needed basis.
Supporting Staff: Assist staff by one or more of
the following areas:

Research: Conduct
research for staff members in the office on
products, services, databases, and various tools
that can be used within the organization.

Data Entry: Continue to
update our project management database – this may
include tasks that range from basic data entry to
more technical revisions to improve the
functionality as well as incorporating data from
other software programs.

Organization: Assist
with restructuring our GIS data on the GIS
server/provide insight of better methods of managing
data files, Land Acquisition filing
Handyman: General
repairs and maintenance for the building. This may
include: wood work, electrical, painting, etc. Also
includes small handyman projects in and around the
office.
Stewardship: At times our stewardship manager
needs assistance with maintaining our properties. These
tasks may include but aren’t limited to walking
property, deer herding, fence mending, surveying the
property yearly, etc.
Partners for Parks: Throughout the Fall
and Spring seasons our Partner for Parks program
provides stewardship assistance to communities.
Volunteers are needed to assist the Partner for Parks team with setting
up for projects, instructing corporate & business
volunteers, providing general support for Partner for Parks projects.
Photography: At times we are need of a
photographer to capture photos of the following:
Preserved properties, Farmland/Open Space tours, Special
events etc.
