Intern Profile: Satoni Zaccaro

Kate Munning

We are delighted to welcome new intern Satoni Zaccaro, who will be working with the development and communications team. Satoni is a sustainability science student at Montclair State University who loves hiking, camping, and getting her hands in the dirt. She recently completed a farming internship that gave her a new passion and respect for growing. Satoni hopes to one day have her own farm to educate, give space, and provide resources to lessen food insecurity in the community.

Satoni says, "I am very excited to be a part of the TLC-NJ family this year. I’ve always admired the fight and victories of the their land conservation and utilizing these spaces as resources for environmental change and education."

We are deeply humbled to occupy the land of the native Munsee Lenape.

The Land Conservancy of New Jersey acknowledges Indigenous Peoples as the traditional stewards of the land, and the enduring relationship that exists between them and their traditional territories. The land on which our headquarters sit is the traditional unceded territory of the Munsee Lenape Nation. We also work to preserve land in the traditional territories of the Lenape Haki-nk (Lenni-Lenape) and the Ramapough Lenape Nation.
