About the event

Looking for ways to get fresh air while also making an impact in your community? By joining our Adopt-a-Trail program, you’ll help preserve and protect the beauty of New Jersey’s wilderness, ensuring trails remain accessible and safe for everyone to enjoy.

This orientation session will be held at Yards Creek Preserve in Blairstown. We are seeking community members to place trail markers, clear brush and branches to clear trails, and visit periodically to make sure trails are clear and safe.

We are deeply humbled to occupy the land of the native Munsee Lenape.

The Land Conservancy of New Jersey acknowledges Indigenous Peoples as the traditional stewards of the land, and the enduring relationship that exists between them and their traditional territories. The land on which our headquarters sit is the traditional unceded territory of the Munsee Lenape Nation. We also work to preserve land in the traditional territories of the Lenape Haki-nk (Lenni-Lenape) and the Ramapough Lenape Nation.
