The Land Conservancy of New Jersey relies on the support of volunteers who join us throughout the year to plant trees and flowers, clean up debris, maintain trails, remove invasive plants, and other important tasks that keep our preserves beautiful and safe.

Our volunteers have planted thousands of trees and shrubs at South Branch Preserve, Yards Creek Preserve, and Nancy Conger West Brook Preserve in West Milford. Before returning Split Rock Mountain to the Ramapo Lenape nations, we hosted a series of volunteer cleanup days in Mahwah (in partnership with MEVO). Every spring our volunteers plant new native plants and flowers in the pollinator meadow at South Branch Preserve. This year, we're working to organize teams of volunteers to keep our trails clear and safe for visitors.

By volunteering to help our conservation efforts, you're nurturing New Jersey's precious natural resources, get outside in nature with other like-minded people, and you get the satisfaction of improving your community.

We are deeply humbled to occupy the land of the native Munsee Lenape.

The Land Conservancy of New Jersey acknowledges Indigenous Peoples as the traditional stewards of the land, and the enduring relationship that exists between them and their traditional territories. The land on which our headquarters sit is the traditional unceded territory of the Munsee Lenape Nation. We also work to preserve land in the traditional territories of the Lenape Haki-nk (Lenni-Lenape) and the Ramapough Lenape Nation.
