Putting the newsletter together each quarter reminds us of the gains we're making, bit by bit, and of all the people and organizations we are so fortunate to work with who are committed to improving land and water resources for future generations.

In this issue you'll read about our efforts to work toward justice for the Ramapough Lenape Indian Nation, from helping them establish a land trust to cleaning up decades of illegal dumping on their ancestral lands. We acquired a small but important piece of land that will be added to Wawayanda State Park and secure permanent public access to the Terrace Pond North Trail.

And did you come to any of our community events this fall? Learn about what they were about and what we hope to do next year: click here to read.

We are deeply humbled to occupy the land of the native Munsee Lenape.

The Land Conservancy of New Jersey acknowledges Indigenous Peoples as the traditional stewards of the land, and the enduring relationship that exists between them and their traditional territories. The land on which our headquarters sit is the traditional unceded territory of the Munsee Lenape Nation. We also work to preserve land in the traditional territories of the Lenape Haki-nk (Lenni-Lenape) and the Ramapough Lenape Nation.
