Outdoor Education Blooms & Other Spring Stories

Updated: Jul 2

Outdoor education blooms! Stewardship endowments fully funded! Scholarship Helps Advance Urgent PFAS Research! Featherfoil find wins land ethics award!

You'll find these stories and so much more in our newsletter.

Holy cow, have we been busy this spring! In this issue, Education Manager Van Trat describes what outdoor education means to her and what her goals are for the program. We're celebrating the full funding of three stewardship endowments for our preserves (and what that means). Get the rundown of just how much our planning guru Barbara Heskins Davis has accomplished in the 25 years she's been with the organization.

Also read about how TLCNJ continues to champion Garden State agriculture by preserving farmland, including this baby's goat's home in Warren County. When you add it all up, that's a grand total of 105 farms and 7,904 acres that will stay in production because of our efforts. How many farms have been saved statewide in New Jersey Farmland Preservation’s 40-year history? The number is staggering, especially for our small, densely populated state: 250,000 acres!
