Jonah McDowell is the most recent Planning Fellow to join the TLCNJ team. Jonah graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Master of Environmental Studies program in May. His capstone was an analysis and case study of the environmental justice law that New Jersey passed in 2020. He has also studied mapping for environmental justice—skills that will certainly come in handy while working with our planning department. During his time with TLCNJ, Jonah will be focusing on developing open space and recreation plans as well as farmland preservation plans.
Jonah says, "I’m working for The Land Conservancy of New Jersey because I really resonate with the mission of preserving natural land for people to enjoy. I love the outdoors and frequently visit the parks and open spaces in my community. I am humbled to be working for an organization that has done such a great job protecting natural and recreational areas, and look forward to continuing the work!"
Welcome, Jonah!
