2021 Scholarship Winner: Danielle Dyson

Kate Munning

We are so proud to spotlight the four winners of this year's TLCNJ scholarships, awarded to college students who aim to pursue environmental science careers in New Jersey.

First up is Danielle Dyson from Brick, NJ, a rising senior at Stockton University with a double major in marine and environmental sciences. She is interested in conserving ecosystems and natural resources, and she has her eye on a master’s degree in conservation biology.

Danielle says, “This scholarship means the world to me. Not only does it lift some financial burden from myself and my family, but also it ensures that I will be able to graduate this year and continue down the path to achieving my dreams.”

Congratulations, Danielle!

We are deeply humbled to occupy the land of the native Munsee Lenape.

The Land Conservancy of New Jersey acknowledges Indigenous Peoples as the traditional stewards of the land, and the enduring relationship that exists between them and their traditional territories. The land on which our headquarters sit is the traditional unceded territory of the Munsee Lenape Nation. We also work to preserve land in the traditional territories of the Lenape Haki-nk (Lenni-Lenape) and the Ramapough Lenape Nation.
