We'd like to extend a big, warm welcome to

TLCNJ's new Planning Manager, Brenda Haycock!

Brenda has a bachelor's in environmental planning design from Rutgers University, and she is currently pursuing American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification and Professional Planner licensing. Before working for TLCNJ, Brenda's work focused on plan research and development, flood mitigation, and open space and farmland preservation.

Brenda has big shoes to fill as Barbara Heskins Davis retires, but she's already taking on the job with gusto.

In her personal time, Brenda enjoys reading, hiking, and fishing. She is also enrolled in the Rutger's Stewardship Program and will be working on a stewardship project at Bamboo Brook.

Brenda says, "I'm excited to continue the important work of supporting local communities in preserving New Jersey's open space and farmland for future generations!"

We are deeply humbled to occupy the land of the native Munsee Lenape.

The Land Conservancy of New Jersey acknowledges Indigenous Peoples as the traditional stewards of the land, and the enduring relationship that exists between them and their traditional territories. The land on which our headquarters sit is the traditional unceded territory of the Munsee Lenape Nation. We also work to preserve land in the traditional territories of the Lenape Haki-nk (Lenni-Lenape) and the Ramapough Lenape Nation.
