TLCNJ has been awarded the 2022 New Jersey Planning Official Achievement in Planning Award by the New Jersey State Agriculture Development Committee (SADC) for our role in expanding important farmland protection efforts in the region and assisting county and municipal partners in updating and adopting farmland preservation plans--over forty to date, with more in the works!

Pictured here are Barbara Heskins Davis and Ken Fung accepting the award at a ceremony last week. We’re very proud of our planning team, whose hard work and expertise made this award possible. The Land Conservancy is all in when it comes to supporting the work of the State Agriculture Development Committee to preserve New Jersey’s beautiful and productive agricultural lands. From planning to preservation, our staff is committed to working with every stakeholder to keep the garden in the Garden State.

We are deeply humbled to occupy the land of the native Munsee Lenape.

The Land Conservancy of New Jersey acknowledges Indigenous Peoples as the traditional stewards of the land, and the enduring relationship that exists between them and their traditional territories. The land on which our headquarters sit is the traditional unceded territory of the Munsee Lenape Nation. We also work to preserve land in the traditional territories of the Lenape Haki-nk (Lenni-Lenape) and the Ramapough Lenape Nation.
