The Land Conservancy of New Jersey offers one of the country’s largest scholarship programs supporting environmental studies. In 2026, we are proud to be awarding TEN scholarships of $10,000 each!

TLCNJ supports scholars pursuing degrees in environmental science, natural resource management, conservation, park administration, and related fields. If you're a junior, senior, or graduate student in environmental science or a related environmental field, or know someone who is, make sure to take advantage of this incredible opportunity!

Since 1983, TLCNJ has been proudly supporting future environmental leaders who are training for careers to protect our natural resources. Our scholarship program started in 1983 with the Russell W. Myers Scholarship, followed by the Rogers Family Scholarship in 2005, and has grown exponentially since then.

In 2025, we awarded seven scholarships, thanks to generous supporters of our education initiatives. You can learn more about last year's crop of impressive students who are shaping the future of conservation in New Jersey HERE.

In 2026, one student will be chosen for each of ten $10,000 scholarships—more than ever before! Interested candidates must be New Jersey residents and full-time students with at least 45 undergraduate credits completed at a college or university (though not necessarily a New Jersey university), with an academic average equivalent to a 3.3 or higher.

We are deeply humbled to occupy the land of the native Munsee Lenape.

The Land Conservancy of New Jersey acknowledges Indigenous Peoples as the traditional stewards of the land, and the enduring relationship that exists between them and their traditional territories. The land on which our headquarters sit is the traditional unceded territory of the Munsee Lenape Nation. We also work to preserve land in the traditional territories of the Lenape Haki-nk (Lenni-Lenape) and the Ramapough Lenape Nation.
